Strong Astrophotography Conditions in Southwest and Rockies
Tonight’s best astrophotography conditions are concentrated in the Southwest and Rockies regions, with Phoenix scoring a perfect 100 and Las Vegas close behind at 98. Salt Lake City and Denver also offer excellent viewing with scores of 96 and 86 respectively. The Great Plains show mixed conditions, with Wichita and Oklahoma City rated excellent, while Sioux Falls and Bismarck are fair to good. The Midwest and Southeast have varied skies, with Nashville and Charlotte offering excellent windows, but cities like Detroit and Houston face more challenging conditions. The Pacific Northwest and Northeast regions have the weakest outlooks, with high cloud cover and rain limiting visibility, especially in cities like Portland, Seattle, and New York.
