Tonight's astrophotography conditions vary widely across the U.S. The Southwest shines brightest with excellent scores in Las Vegas (96), Phoenix (93), and Los Angeles (81), offering low cloud cover and minimal rain chances. The Southeast also presents strong opportunities, especially in Nashville (100), Charlotte (96), and Atlanta (93), where skies are mostly clear and visibility is high. The Great Plains show a mix, with Wichita (92) and Oklahoma City (95) scoring excellent, while Fargo and Sioux Falls struggle with heavy clouds and rain. The Pacific Northwest is mixed; Boise (80) and Spokane (69) provide good to excellent conditions, but Seattle and Portland face significant cloud cover. The Rockies and Northeast are generally poor, with Denver, Cheyenne, and Albany scoring low due to heavy clouds and rain.
The Southwest leads with outstanding conditions, highlighted by Las Vegas’s near-perfect 96 score and Phoenix’s excellent 93, both featuring minimal clouds and excellent visibility.
